Whether you’re visiting Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida or Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, this guide will help you effortlessly enjoy summer park days in style. I hope this little lookbook inspires you to find the perfect outfit to enjoy the parks in true Disney style. All my outfits and a style guide of my favorite places to shop for park outfits are linked below đ
Crop Tops + Denim Shorts
It can get *hot* during the summer in both Walt Disney World and Disneyland. Temperatures over 90 degrees are pretty common, so crop tops paired with denim shorts are a great option to stay cool while still looking cute. This ensemble has become my go-to park outfit. It’s easy to throw on and looks stylish for all your “Walls of Disney” Instagram needs. I love finding cute cropped tees and tanks with a little touch of Disney from Forever 21, Hot Topic, Target and local boutiques. All of my outfit details are linked down below!
Breezy Tanks
Tank tops are another key wardrobe staple for any summer Disney trip. They keep you cool during Florida’s summer humidity and rainstorms and are easy to throw on. My favorite staples are neutrals and colorful tanks from Lilly Pulitzer and patterned tanks from American Eagle.
Flowy Shorts + Graphic Tees
Fabric shorts are a game changerâthey’re flowy and loose for dressing up outfits and make it easy for you to hop on and off rides without the inconvenience of a skirt. I’ve been all about lemon print for summer lately, and Forever 21 carries some adorable pairs fit for the parks.
Flowy shorts pair well with cute Disney graphic tees to complete your Disney day OOTD. I love supporting small businesses on Etsy, and Borderline Magical Tees has some of the cutest Disney-inspired apparel. This “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”-inspired Mickey tee was a must-have for me.
Rompers + Comfy Shoes
Rompers are the perfect park outfit: stylish enough for photos in front of Cinderella Castle with the long park day functionality of shortsâa win-win situation. I usually get all my rompers from boutiques, but I actually found this cute tribal print romper in a shop at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. You never know where you might find boutique-quality clothes tucked away in Walt Disney World!
I always end up wearing comfortable sandals or my Superstars for long park days. Comfort is key when you end up walking 7 miles around Epcot in a day. Sam Edelman is my favorite sandal brand for trips to Epcot and I always recommend Adidas or Nike for cute tennis shoes.
Swimsuits
Don’t forget to pack your swimsuit for a summer Disney trip! Take advantage of those Resort pools and Disney Water Parks in Orlando to cool off from the summer heat. I have a whole separate post linked with my swim favorites (all under $50 and perfect for an afternoon at Blizzard Beach!).
Off-the-Shoulder Tops
The off-the-shoulder trend is a great way to stay cool in style in the California sunshine. Just make sure you don’t forget your sunscreen đ This bow-tie top is one of my most worn tops to the parksâlightweight fabric and cute little bow details make it functional and stylish.
Sunhats + Ball Caps
No Epcot festival experience is complete without your favorite sunhat. There’s not a lot of shade in Epcot, so sunhats are perfect for keeping sunburns at bay while you hop between pavilions in World Showcase. I also love a good ball cap for Disneylandâyou can find some super cute character-themed ones in the Emporium!
Two-Piece Sets + Minnie Ears
I’m all about the two-piece set trend âsets look so put together and are easy to throw on if you have an early morning wake-up call for rope drop at Disneyland or Magic Kingdom. Local boutiques are my go-to for quality sets, but you can find a hidden gem from Forever 21 from time to time (pictured below in my Sleeping Beauty Castle shot).
And of course, no outfit would be complete without your favorite pair of Minnie Ears in true #MinnieStyle. You can find some beautiful pairs from the parks as well as handcrafted pairs on Etsy. The DisneyStyle store at Disney Springs is a great spot for finding on-trend ears (looking at you, rose gold and millennial pink pairs).
Color Trends
Segueing from ears into one of the cutest ways to show your Disney Style: color trends. Disney Parks merchandise has started to create lines for a lot of popular color trendsâyou can usually find a pair of ears, Spirit Jersey or Loungefly bag in pretty much all of the “on-trend” colors right now (not to mention a cupcake to match đ). Disney offers merchandise in rose gold, millennial pink, iridescent, potion purple, bright yellow, and pretty much every trendy color you can think of. Briar Rose gold is basically the line of my dreams since I’m obsessed with rose gold and Sleeping Beauty is my fave Disney movie.
