When it comes to shopping for swimsuits for my next trip, Target has become my go-to. Their suits are so on-trend and the quality is great for the price. I know a lot of you are heading somewhere tropical for summer and possibly looking for a new suit. So I thought now would be the perfect time to share some of my favorite swimsuits under $50 for travel!

I ordered a few different swimsuits in prints and solids for easy mixing and matching. Scroll down for my try-on session of some of Target’s newest suits and for links to some other cute swimsuits under $50!

Target Try-On Haul

Leopard Print Bralette Bikini Top / Leopard Print High-Waisted Bikini Bottom

I’ve been looking for a good leopard print bikini for my own beach vacay for a while now. I wasn’t completely sold on this one when I ordered it because of the silhouette. But this high-waisted leopard bikini turned out to be one of my favorites of the haul!

The bikini is made of a comfy ribbed material and has plenty of stretch to it. The top has lined cups and plenty of coverage, and the straps are adjustable which is always a plus!

I love the bottoms because they offer a really flattering amount of coverage in the front. However, they are a bit cheekier and offered the least amount of back coverage of all the bottoms I tried on. Just keep that in mind if you’re looking for modest coverage in the back 🙂

For reference, I ordered a small in the bottoms (which is standard for me) and a medium in the top since Target’s tops tend to run small (I’m normally a small in other swim brands).

Scallop Bikini Top (similar) / Scallop Bikini Bottom

This scalloped bikini is super cute and on trend, so I was very excited to try this one on. This suit has a very flattering fit and the material itself is comfortable, but the scallop fabric does feel a little bit stiff. The bottoms are super flattering and low-rise without being too low. They offer plenty of coverage in the back, so this is a great bikini bottom for swimming and other water activities.

The top is lined with removable cups and the straps are adjustable. I really like the way the suit looks on, but I found the fit in the top to be a little bit tight. I would only recommend this bikini to smaller chested girls, because the band was way too tight on my ribcage even after sizing up.

I’m wearing a medium in the top (size up) and a small in the bottoms. This suit also comes in four other colors, including a hot pink and an olive green color that would be very cute for the beach!

Animal Print Lace-Up Bralette Bikini Top (sold out) / Animal Print Hipster Bikini Bottom (sold out)

I also ordered another animal print bikini in a different style to compare to the high-waisted set. This material was very comfortable and is a pretty peach color on the lined side. I found the bottoms to be very flattering with a cheeky fit, and they have a nice ruching detail on the back.

However, I was really not a fan of the fit of this bikini top on my body. Because of the way it ties in the back, it kind of feels like a corset, and I found it to be too restrictive for anything other than tanning. It also comes untied quite easily, so I probably wouldn’t recommend this top for swimming or any activity other than laying out.

If you have curves, this might not be the best suit for you since it has little to no stretch in the top and is very cheeky in the back. I’m wearing a medium in the top and a medium in the bottoms, so I recommend sizing up for both.

Strappy Halter Bikini Top / Tie Side Bikini Bottom

The minute I tried this on, I fell in love with this suit. These pieces don’t come together, but the strappy detail on the top and the tie on the bottoms pair well. This suit is *extremely* comfortable and flattering in the black color. It also comes in a really cute pink shade as well! You can see how I styled this swimsuit in Mexico here.

The bottoms are the tie side style that I love and they don’t come untied easily. You don’t have to worry about them staying in place if you go swimming or to a water park. I’m wearing my normal bra size in the top and a small in the bottoms. Both pieces fit true to size. Since these suits are a mix of prints and solids, I mixed and matched a few. Scroll down so you can see what they look like paired with another style 🙂

The top is a push-up, but the fit is very comfortable because the material is super soft. This top come in bra sizing, so it’s a lot easier to find the right fit for your body type. I ordered my typical bra size in the top and it fit perfectly!

I only purchased two-piece sets from Target because they’re more flattering for my body type. But I still linked plenty of one-pieces down below if you’re looking 🙂
