February weather always has me dreaming of warmer places and the start of my
DISCOVERY ISLAND
My
GORILLA FALLS EXPLORATION TRAIL
This trail gives you the vantage point of seeing animals both above and below the water—which makes for some pretty unique photo opportunities.
KILIMANJARO SAFARIS
Kilimanjaro Safaris: the closest you can get to a real safari without going to Africa. Elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, zebras—this safari has it all. It’s a perfect spot to capture some truly incredible wildlife shots. Until I can venture off on that South Africa dream trip, this is the perfect substitute.
TRAIL BETWEEN AFRICA AND ASIA
The heart of the park: one of my favorite photo spots is the backside of the Tree of Life. The walkway between Africa and Asia has a little hidden pathway leading to my favorite view of the Tree of Life. It almost makes you feel like you’re truly in the jungle.
MAHARAJAH JUNGLE TREK
My absolute favorite trail for photos: the endangered Sumatran tigers are my favorite animals in the park.
DINOLAND, U.S.A.
Not a traditional photo spot in the park, but proof that beauty can bloom in even the most unexpected of places.
I hope you enjoyed this spring photo tour of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. I’ll be posting a lot more photo diaries from Disney and other travel spots in the future. Do you have a favorite place to visit during the spring? Let me know in the comments!
