I’m so excited to share a highly-requested blog post with all of you today—I always get asked where I take my Instagram photos in the parks, so I thought it was about time I blogged about it! I’m kicking off this mini blog series with Magic Kingdom Park. I hope you see some popular spots and learn about a few hidden gems!
Main Street, U.SA.
Magic Kingdom Entrance
The view of Cinderella Castle at the entrance of Main Street, U.S.A is beautiful any time of year. You can get some cute character photos here as well as seasonal snaps during the holiday celebrations at Magic Kingdom (August—January).
Main Street Confectionery
The Confectionery is one of my favorite stops on a trip to Magic Kingdom, and the lighting makes for some beautiful photos. Buy a sweet treat to pose with and enjoy a leisurely walk down Main Street.
Hub Grass
The Hub Grass is a great spot to relax and get that castle shot before exploring other corners of the park. Even in full sun, you can still get some excellent pics here.
The Hub
If you continue walking towards Cinderella Castle, the Hub walkway with the Partners Statue as a backdrop is another great spot for getting that envy-worthy Instagram shot.
Castle Arches
This spot is a little tucked away—if you find the castle arches to the sides of the Hub, you can get a unique angle of Cinderella Castle that makes it look larger than life.
Adventureland
Adventureland Walkway
Another hidden gem is found in the walkway from Main Street, U.S.A. to Adventureland. During the spring, you can find tons of pink hibiscus blooming as a background for the perfect tropical Instagram pic.
Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse
During the hottest days at Magic Kingdom, it can be difficult to find photo spots without harsh lighting. Even in the middle of the day, you can find some shade and a lush oasis in front of the bridge at Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse.
Aloha Isle
Aloha Isle is one of the only covered areas in Adventureland. Perfect for grabbing a Dole Whip Float to go and snapping a quick pic before it starts to melt in the Florida sun.
Frontierland
Tom Sawyer Island + Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
This is my favorite photo spot and arguably the best-kept secret in Magic Kingdom. The Disney Instagram community has yet to see the full potential of Tom Sawyer Island. This island tucked away in the middle of the Rivers of America offers breathtaking views of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and the Haunted Mansion.
As an added bonus, instead of having to wait for people to clear out so that you can get your pictures, there’s almost never anyone around. Kinda like having your own private island—I truly can’t recommend it enough! You can find the Big Thunder lookout point by walking towards the bridge that leads to Fort Langhorn and taking a left at the bridge.
Splash Mountain Sign
An old favorite of mine—nothing says Magic Kingdom fun like a classic Splash Mountain shot (bonus points if you wear a matching shirt)!
Liberty Square
Sleepy Hollow Refreshments
The view from Sleepy Hollow Refreshments offers one of the best angles of Cinderella Castle in the kingdom. Enjoy a Nutella waffle and get some of your best snaps in the morning when the castle’s backlit by a golden glow.
Fantasyland
Cinderella Castle
The Fantasyland side of Cinderella Castle is just as photogenic as the front, and significantly less crowded. This side is especially pretty during the holiday season when it’s decorated with wreaths and glowing with Dreamlights.
Fantasyland Walls
The peach walls in Fantasyland are another hidden gem—beautiful windows and architecture! Find them near Castle Couture and Sir Mickey’s.
Mad Tea Party
This is hands-down the best lighting you will find at a Disney Character meet and greet. I always love saying hello to Alice and Friends and getting some lovely photos with Mad Tea Party in the background.
Storybook Circus
Storybook Circus in the back of New Fantasyland has too many unique walls to count. Find your favorite for your next Instagram park pic—you can’t really go wrong. This shot was taken outside the entrance to Pete’s Silly Sideshow—the Disney Character meet and greet spot in Storybook Circus.
Tomorrowland
Purple Wall
It would be remiss of me to leave out arguably the most popular Instagram spot in Magic Kingdom—the infamous Purple Wall. Find it and the Galactic Purple Wall between Tomorrowland Terrace and Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor.
Buzz Lightyear Meet & Greet
Meet Buzz for the perfect galactic Instagram shot to round out your trip to Magic Kingdom.
